Phase 1 Is Done — And There’s Still Plenty More Ahead

Today marks a small but important milestone: Phase 1 of my real estate photography website is officially done. It’s the first step in a much bigger plan, and while it feels good to reach this point, I’m nowhere near finished. In fact, the real work is just getting started.

If you’ve been following along, you already know I’ve been shifting my photography business away from editorial work and into real estate photography. After decades of shooting news, features, and regional stories — going all the way back to my film and darkroom days before 1987 — the industry has changed. Editorial markets have dried up, stock photography sales have been hit hard, and AI is reshaping the landscape in ways none of us could have predicted.

But I’m not ready to retire. Not even close.

Photography is still what I do, and real estate photography is the direction that makes sense for the future.

What Phase 1 Included

Phase 1 was all about building the foundation — getting the structure in place so I can grow from here. That meant:

  • setting up the core website
  • creating the initial service pages
  • establishing the direction for my brand
  • mapping out the workflow I’ll use for fast online delivery
  • planning how clients will interact with the site

It’s the skeleton of the business. Now it’s time to add the muscle.

Gladly Accepting New Clients

With Phase 1 complete, I’m officially opening the door to new clients. I’m ready to work with:

  • real estate agents
  • homeowners
  • landlords
  • builders
  • small businesses
  • commercial property owners

If you need professional real estate photography — interiors, exteriors, drone imagery, or small business visuals — I’m ready to help.

I’m building this business to be fast, reliable, and easy to work with, and I’m looking forward to working with clients throughout York, Adams County, and Northern Baltimore County. If you’re preparing a listing or planning a project, I’m here and ready to get to work.

What’s Coming Next

Even though Phase 1 is complete, there’s still a lot to do — and I’m excited about it.

Portfolio Images

As weather cooperates, I’ll be photographing properties, interiors, exteriors, and drone views. These images will become the backbone of the website and show future clients exactly what I can deliver.

Photos of Me

I’ll be adding updated portraits and behind‑the‑scenes shots. People like to know who they’re hiring, and it’s time to put a face to the name.

Website Refinements

Phase 2 will bring:

  • new galleries
  • improved navigation
  • updated branding
  • more examples of real estate work
  • clearer service descriptions

The site will evolve steadily as I add content.

Rebuilding Social Media

My social media accounts are getting a fresh start. I’ll be posting:

  • property shoots
  • drone footage
  • workflow tips
  • local content
  • updates as the business grows

This will help me reconnect with local audiences and reach new clients.

Marketing + Outreach

With the foundation in place, I’ll be focusing on:

  • SEO‑driven blog posts
  • updating my Google Business Profile
  • connecting with local agents
  • building visibility in York, Adams County, and Northern Baltimore County

This is all part of establishing a strong presence in the region.

The Journey Continues

Phase 1 may be done, but this is just the beginning. I’m building something new — something local, intentional, and rooted in decades of experience. Real estate photography is the next chapter, and I’m looking forward to everything that comes with it.

More updates soon.
