Direct from the Hills of Lancaster County

During Heritage Day at the Community Park in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, a helicopter flew over the crowd and dropped candy for children. A yearly tradition, the crowd of kids and their parents scurried to get some of the sweet treats. The helicopter made several drops during the event.

Amish and non-Amish youths were actively playing volleyball in the Community Park during the Heritage Day Event in Intercourse, Lancaster County. The annual event attracts a large crowd from the local community, and teenagers mingle and socialize over spirited games of volleyball.

The Susquehanna River flows into the Chesapeake Bay, and at that point, is the historic town of Havre de Grace. Along the shoreline, strategically positioned is the Concord Point Lighthouse. I was recently close by on assignment and managed to create some images of this historic building.

While at the Strasburg Rail Road. I was able to get a close-up image of the Norfolk and Western 611. I zoomed in with a wide-angle lens to create this image, which is now a part of my stock photography collection.

It was Civil War Days at the Landis Valley Farm Museum in Lancaster County PA. Reenactors were encamped and added new recruits to their ranks. It was just of the day’s activities at the unique museum. Children participated in their enrollment by taking the same oath as a Union soldier took in the Civil War….
