While in Lancaster County’s Elizabethtown, I had a few moments to stop by the train station. The community does have access to Amtrak service, and my unplanned visit allowed me to create some images of a passenger train arriving and then departing. Transportation tipis are always of interest to me as a working editorial photographer….

An unusual but fun activity in the community park is cookie decorating. It was held during the annual Heritage Day in Intercourse, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Youngsters take time to decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles.

As part of the Civil Wr Days at the Landis Valley Farm Museum in Lancaster County, PA, the reenactors provided information on the Union Cavalry, including their purpose, equipment, and military tactics. Dressed impeccably, the reenactors engaged with the museum visitors and readily answered questions.
