Music and a Large Crowd, despite Cold Weather, Marks the Christmas Tree Lighting and the Arrival of Santa
Downtown Ephrata was transformed with a large crowd and plenty of children to witness the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the official lighting of the town’s official Christmas Tree. A cold, chilly, and windy night did not dampen the spirits of those in attendance.

Santa and Mrs. Claus first appeared on top of the Ephrata National Bank Building and awaited rescue by the brave volunteers of the Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company.

They soon emerged safely from the bank to greet the children and the crowd.

Santa Claus in Downtown Harrisburg Using a one-horse sleigh as his mode of transportation, Santa Claus arrived in downtown Harrisburg. He was the special guest at the annual Harrisburg Holiday Parade. The Jolly Old Elf planned to meet with the children to share some hot chocolate and cookies after his ride through the city streets….
A quick assignment creating Electric Vehicle Charging Station images took me to a local grocery store parking lot. I was able to create a dozen or so images for the editor, and here is one of the images I turned in for consideration. The editorial photos will support features about green energy and transportation.
The local fire companies attended the Heritage Day event in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, and displayed their equipment and gear used to protect the community. The ambulance crews and paramedics also showed off their ambulance rigs. Some of the children at the park took time to talk to a firefighter and ask questions about the firefighting gear.
