In the village of Reinholds, located in northwest Lancaster County, there is a small, older-style train station. Perhaps best described as a freight depot building, the station is still used. During a recent visit, I created some images to illustrate transportation and did get some of the two locomotives that were parked alongside the station.
Amish and non-Amish youths were actively playing volleyball in the Community Park during the Heritage Day Event in Intercourse, Lancaster County. The annual event attracts a large crowd from the local community, and teenagers mingle and socialize over spirited games of volleyball.
The Pennsylvania Legislature has introduced a bill that would allow Driverless Testing on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The Augusta Free Press used a fire line photo by George Sheldon to illustrate a new article. The image was of fire tape stretched the message Fire Line Do Not Cross. A photo credit was also given. A copy of the article screen shot was obtained.
While visiting Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, I also was able to create several images of the 911 Memorial near the World Trade Center Building. The memorial includes actual steel girders from the buildings destroyed in New York City.

Working on energy and transportation editorial images, and this project recently took me to Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania to capture some bulk storage tanks. This also gave me the opportunity to use my long lens (200-600mm) to create some images from a distance. These images are now being submitted to my photo editor for review.
