Mother’s Day, 2022, and before the local truckers started their annual trek for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Convoy, there is a carnival at the Manheim Auto Auction in Manheim, Lancaster County. Before you know it, the area is invaded by Storm Troopers and other Star Wars characters, all to the delight of the children in attendance.
There was music and dance, and overall fun for the kids.
As the skies brightened from two previous days of heavy rain, the carnival certainly helped everyone to enjoy the day.
These are some of the images I was able to capture before the convoy started.
A quick assignment creating Electric Vehicle Charging Station images took me to a local grocery store parking lot. I was able to create a dozen or so images for the editor, and here is one of the images I turned in for consideration. The editorial photos will support features about green energy and transportation.

The SeaMonster paddle boats were at the dock in the city’s Inner Harbor, making it relatively easy to create several images of the whimsical creatures. Popular among tourists, the boats are rented and allow a unique view of the waterway.
