The local fire companies attended the Heritage Day event in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, and displayed their equipment and gear used to protect the community. The ambulance crews and paramedics also showed off their ambulance rigs.
Some of the children at the park took time to talk to a firefighter and ask questions about the firefighting gear.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary visited The Bridge in the City of Harrisburg to promote urban farming. Secretary Russell Redding said the Department is empowering Pennsylvania communities to grow their own food. The Secretary is also encouraging youths to pursue agriculture and food careers.
