During the 2016 US Presidential Election Campaign, I had the opportunity to photograph several large events. During a campaign rally in Manheim, Lancaster County, while I was in the Press section, I noticed an Amish man holding a Make America Great Again sign.
I did grab some photos of the man and even caught him waving at me.
I was wearing my press pass credential, and I was in the open. In other words, I was not hiding. The Amish, who often shun any attempt at photography, proudly stood there waving his sign.
I almost forgot I had these images, but glad I found them in my collection. You never know what you might see when covering a news event.
While in Lancaster County’s Elizabethtown, I had a few moments to stop by the train station. The community does have access to Amtrak service, and my unplanned visit allowed me to create some images of a passenger train arriving and then departing. Transportation tipis are always of interest to me as a working editorial photographer….
A recent trip to Baltimore included a stop at Fort McHenry. While there, I documented General George Arnustead’s monument near the entrance of the Star Spangled Fort. More images from my visit will be available soon.
As is so often the situation, I never set out to get a photo of firefighter gear ready for the next call. I just happened to walk past a fire station in Emittsburg, Maryland, and saw this gear hanging on the way. It is now part of the licensable images available from my representative agencies.
Amish and non-Amish youths were actively playing volleyball in the Community Park during the Heritage Day Event in Intercourse, Lancaster County. The annual event attracts a large crowd from the local community, and teenagers mingle and socialize over spirited games of volleyball.
Gettysburg, PA, USA – July 2, 2016: A boy plays a bugle as an army bugler during a reenactment in downtown Gettysburg during the annual Battle commemoration. Bugle Boy in Gettysburg: One of Many Reenactor Stock Photos I stumbled across some images in my collection that I never processed and posted. There is a batch…
A recent assignment took me to Baltimore, and while there, I had a chance to visit the city’s Inner Harbor. While walking in the area I noticed this colorful Visit Baltimore Sign. It certainly caught my eye.
